Leybold SOGEVAC SV 40 BI FC – rotary vane pump for analytical applications

The SOGEVAC SV 40 BI FC is the SV 40 BI with frequency converter and RS-485 interface. At high inlet pressure the converter automatically reduces the rotational speed so that the mains current does not exceed 13 A and a normal building circuit breaker is sufficient; it also limits the inrush current. Via the interface, start/stop and rotational speed can be controlled and power consumption and drive temperature monitored for preventive maintenance. Nominal pumping speed: 53 m³/h (50/60 Hz); pumping speed: 36 m³/h (50/60 Hz). The pump measures 506 × 306 × 386 mm and weighs 45 kg with oil filling; the noise level is ≤ 59 dB(A).

Typical applications

For the analytical series Leybold names, among others, ICP-MS and LC/MS instruments and use as a backing pump for turbomolecular pumps. All pumps have an integrated anti-suckback valve, integrated lubrication with oil return without external oil lines and a low noise level thanks to low rotational speeds.
