Leybold SOGEVAC SV 55 BI² – rotary vane pump for analytical applications

The SOGEVAC SV 55 BI² is Leybold's new backing pump for analytical applications with integrated permanent magnet motor and frequency converter. Leybold states up to 50 % lower weight (31 kg), up to 20 % energy savings and up to three years or 24 000 hours of maintenance-free operation. It is controlled by an on/off switch, analog signals, RS 485 or Ethernet; one litre of oil is sufficient, and the oil drain valve and the oil filling port are easily accessible high above the floor. Nominal pumping speed: 55 m³/h (50/60 Hz); pumping speed: ≥ 36 m³/h at 2 mbar. The pump measures 402 × 304 × 333 mm and weighs 31 kg with oil filling; the noise level is 58 dB(A).

Typical applications

For the analytical series Leybold names, among others, ICP-MS and LC/MS instruments and use as a backing pump for turbomolecular pumps. All pumps have an integrated anti-suckback valve, integrated lubrication with oil return without external oil lines and a low noise level thanks to low rotational speeds.

The SOGEVAC SV 55 BI² is available from Ehrler & Beck in four variants (part numbers 10330040V01, 10330040V02, 10330040V03, 10330040V10). The power consumption below 10 mbar is < 580 W.
