History

1978

Foundation and market entry

Ehrler & Beck is founded after the growing need for reliable vacuum technology in the printing industry was recognised early on. Technical expertise, fast response and practical solutions create trust from the outset and form the basis for long-term growth.

1980s

Regional growth and service focus

With the increasing use of vacuum technology in industry and production, Ehrler & Beck grows rapidly in southern Germany. Customer-oriented service, fast on-site support and technical depth make the company the preferred partner of regional industrial companies.

Late 1980s

European expansion and business model

Ehrler & Beck begins to operate across national borders. In this phase a business model emerges that still shapes the company today: the introduction of refurbished vacuum pumps as an economical and fast replacement solution. Specialised workshop expertise is built up systematically.

1990s

Expansion into compressor technology

The portfolio is extended to include compressors in order to offer customers complete compressed air and vacuum solutions from a single source. Ehrler & Beck establishes itself as a one-stop shop without losing its clear focus on service and solutions.

2000–2020

Technological diversity and multi-brand strategy

In these years Ehrler & Beck grows into a manufacturer-independent solution provider. The portfolio is extended by further vacuum technologies and numerous international brands. At the same time, service, repair and overhaul processes are consistently professionalised.

2021

Part of the Atlas Copco Group

The acquisition by Atlas Copco opens a new chapter. Ehrler & Beck remains specialised in rough vacuum applications and at the same time benefits from global resources, technological networking and extended development opportunities.

Late 2021

Expansion with Eugen Theis Vakuum

The integration of Eugen Theis Vakuum (ETV) significantly expands the expertise in complex central vacuum systems. Ehrler & Beck thereby extends its range of services from components to complete, customer-specific system solutions.

2023

Strategic focus on vacuum technology

Ehrler & Beck consistently realigns itself and concentrates entirely on vacuum technology. Resources, know-how and service expertise are pooled to offer customers even clearer added value in reliability, response speed and performance.

2025

Introduction of the ServicePLUS strategy

With ServicePLUS the service offering is structured and modularised. Standardised service modules, sustainable overhauls and transparent processes create predictability, operational reliability and long-term cost advantages for customers.

2026

Digitalisation with our own online shop

The launch of the company's own online shop enables digital access to spare parts, consumables and refurbished vacuum pumps. Transparent information, tested quality and fast availability combine classic service with modern procurement.
