History

1984

The beginning with a clear focus

Eugen Theis founds the company with a clear vision: to build and maintain reliable vacuum systems for the local food industry. From the outset the focus is on practical relevance – with solutions that make processes safer and more efficient.

1999

Handover and specialisation

With the takeover by Oliver Hornberg, who is still active in the company today, a new phase of development begins. Eugen Theis Vakuum increasingly specialises in modern, energy-efficient central vacuum systems and positions itself as a technological solution provider.

2010–2020

Technological expansion and partnerships

During this period the cooperation with Atlas Copco Vacuum is continuously intensified. The aim is to use the innovative VSD+ technology to significantly increase energy efficiency and system availability while further expanding the technical network.

2021

Part of the Atlas Copco Group

Atlas Copco acquires Eugen Theis Vakuum. This opens up new opportunities to grow in a targeted way in the highly competitive food industry market, to set technological standards and to expand market share step by step.

2022

Setting standards in the food industry

Eugen Theis Vakuum carries out the design, installation and commissioning of the most modern vacuum systems within the Tönnies Group. The systems are based on Atlas Copco's VSD+ technology with GHS and DRB systems and set new standards in efficiency and operational reliability.
