Leybold SOGEVAC SV 40 BI – rotary vane pump for analytical applications

The SOGEVAC SV 40 BI brings the 40 size to analytical applications: DN 40 ISO-KF on both sides, integrated motor and only 1 litre of oil filling. Depending on the version, the ultimate total pressure without gas ballast is between 0.05 and 0.20 mbar. Leybold offers PFPE variants for ICP-MS instruments; the single-phase motors have overload protection in accordance with EN 61010-1. Nominal pumping speed: 42 m³/h (50 Hz) / 50 m³/h (60 Hz); pumping speed: 40 m³/h (50 Hz) / 48 m³/h (60 Hz). The pump measures 497 × 296 × 340 mm and weighs 43 kg with oil filling; the noise level is 60 dB(A) (50 Hz) / 63 dB(A) (60 Hz).

Typical applications

For the analytical series Leybold names, among others, ICP-MS and LC/MS instruments and use as a backing pump for turbomolecular pumps. All pumps have an integrated anti-suckback valve, integrated lubrication with oil return without external oil lines and a low noise level thanks to low rotational speeds.

The SOGEVAC SV 40 BI is available from Ehrler & Beck in three variants (part numbers 960331V3001, 960331V3012, 960331). The motor power is 1.3 kW (50 Hz) / 1.6 kW (60 Hz).
