Leybold SOGEVAC SV 28 BI – rotary vane pump for analytical applications

The SOGEVAC SV 28 BI is a compact pump for analytical instruments with integrated motor, dynamic shaft seals and an enlarged 1.5-litre oil casing. At ≤ 0.05 mbar without gas ballast it reaches the lowest ultimate pressure of the analytical series; the low rotational speed of 1500 min⁻¹ keeps the noise level of the three-phase version at 54 dB(A). Connections: DN 25 ISO-KF on the intake and exhaust side. Nominal pumping speed: 25 m³/h (50 Hz) / 30 m³/h (60 Hz); pumping speed: 23 m³/h (50 Hz) / 27 m³/h (60 Hz). The pump measures 423 × 258 × 301 mm and weighs 34 to 37 kg with oil filling (depending on the oil casing and motor); the noise level is 54 dB(A) (50 Hz) / 57 dB(A) (60 Hz) with three-phase motor and 57 / 60 dB(A) with single-phase motor.

Typical applications

For the analytical series Leybold names, among others, ICP-MS and LC/MS instruments and use as a backing pump for turbomolecular pumps. All pumps have an integrated anti-suckback valve, integrated lubrication with oil return without external oil lines and a low noise level thanks to low rotational speeds.

Variants of the SOGEVAC SV 28 BI

The SOGEVAC SV 28 BI is available from Ehrler & Beck in two variants (part numbers 960273, 960277). The motor power is 0.75 kW (50 Hz) / 1.1 kW (60 Hz) with three-phase motor and 0.55 / 0.66 kW with single-phase motor. The variants differ in mains voltage or motor, in the oil filling, in the connections or in the type of control; the table of each variant gives its version.
