TRIVAC D 16 BCS 3Ph 200-240/380-400 V 50 Hz / 200-240/380-480 V 60 Hz

Part number: 11368 Series: TRIVAC series Manufacturer: Leybold Technology: Oil-lubricated rotary vane vacuum pumps

The Leybold TRIVAC D 16 BCS is the corrosion-protected version of the TRIVAC D 16 B: a two-stage, oil-sealed rotary vane vacuum pump with a pumping speed of 16.5 m³/h (50 Hz) and an ultimate pressure of ≤ 2 × 10⁻³ mbar for pumping corrosive or aggressive media. A chemical oil filter, an exhaust filter with oil return, an inert gas system and a limit switch system complete it to form the TRIVAC SYSTEM. Ehrler & Beck supplies the Leybold TRIVAC D 16 BCS in two variants, as well as spare parts and accessories.

TRIVAC D 16 BCS – corrosion-protected version with 16.5 m³/h

The Leybold TRIVAC D 16 BCS adopts the pumping speed (16.5 / 19.8 m³/h at 50 / 60 Hz), the ultimate total pressure (≤ 2 × 10⁻³ mbar) and the DN 25 ISO-KF connections of the TRIVAC D 16 B. Leybold sees the BCS models wherever increased leak-tightness, an extensive range of accessories or monitoring options are required: when pumping corrosive or aggressive media, in semiconductor manufacturing and the chemical industry, in research and production, and as a backing pump in pump systems with Roots, diffusion, turbomolecular or cryo pumps.

Design and function

According to Leybold, the TRIVAC BCS is of corrosion-protected design: yellow metals have been dispensed with; grey cast iron, surface-treated aluminium, steel and stainless steel are used. Added to this are a double shaft seal, a built-in temperature switch for temperature monitoring, the built-in oil pump for continuous operation up to 1000 mbar and the oil-pressure-controlled anti-suckback valve. Together with the chemical oil filter with safety shut-off valve CFS 16-25, the exhaust filter with oil return ARS 16-25, the inert gas system IGS 16-25 and the limit switch system LSS 16-25, the pump forms the TRIVAC SYSTEM. Water vapour tolerance 25 mbar, water vapour capacity 305 g/h (50 Hz) / 370 g/h (60 Hz), oil filling 0.45 / 1.0 l, noise level 54 / 56 dB(A) (without / with gas ballast).

PFPE version

The BCS-PFPE variant is prepared for operation with perfluoropolyether LEYBONOL LVO 400 and is supplied without an oil filling. According to Leybold, PFPE is practically inert to chemical and oxidising influences, does not polymerise under high-energy radiation and is thermally highly stable (decomposition only above 290 °C). Leybold recommends always installing a chemical oil filter CF or CFS. Ultimate partial pressure without gas ballast: < 8 × 10⁻⁴ mbar.

Variants of the TRIVAC D 16 BCS

The TRIVAC D 16 BCS is available from Ehrler & Beck in two variants (part numbers 11368, 11369). The rated motor power is 0.75 kW (50 Hz), the weight ranges from 28 to 29.3 kg. Voltage, phase and all further data of the individual variants can be found in the variant selection and under Technical data.
