Edwards E2M18 – two-stage rotary vane vacuum pump

The E2M18 belongs to Edwards' EM series of small oil-sealed rotary vane pumps. It delivers 17 m³/h at 50 Hz and 20.4 m³/h at 60 Hz and reaches an ultimate pressure of 2 × 10⁻³ mbar without gas ballast, 0.03 mbar with gas ballast. The motor power is 0.75 kW (single-phase) or 0.55 kW (three-phase) at 50 Hz. The sound pressure level is 57 dB(A); with the optional acoustic enclosure it drops to around 50 dB(A). The pump weighs approx. 41 kg and measures 578 × 180 × 271 mm (single-phase) or 520 × 180 × 271 mm (three-phase).

Typical applications

For the EM pumps Edwards names scientific and laboratory applications and use as a backing pump for turbomolecular pumps; the pumps have also proven themselves in industrial applications.

Versions of the Edwards E2M18

The E2M18 is available in 8 versions (part numbers A36317984, A36310905, A36310925, A36315904, A36325984, A36321905, A36321925, A36325904). The three-phase and the Japanese 100/200 V versions are hard-wired; the versions with IEC appliance connector need a mains cable ordered separately. FX versions are prepared for PFPE oil; the PFPE oil is ordered separately. The market details (Europe/USA, Asia, Japan) come from the Edwards ordering documents.
