Edwards E2M2.5 – two-stage rotary vane vacuum pump

The E2M2.5 belongs to Edwards' EM series of small oil-sealed rotary vane pumps. It delivers 2.5 m³/h at 50 Hz and 3 m³/h at 60 Hz and reaches an ultimate pressure of 3 × 10⁻³ mbar without gas ballast, 0.025 mbar with gas ballast. The single-phase motor delivers 0.16 kW. The sound pressure level is 55 dB(A); with the optional acoustic enclosure it drops to around 48 dB(A). The pump weighs approx. 10 kg and measures 323 × 142 × 226.5 mm (L × W × H, with carrying handle).

Typical applications

For the EM pumps Edwards names scientific and laboratory applications and use as a backing pump for turbomolecular pumps; the pumps have also proven themselves in industrial applications.

The E2M2.5 is available in 2 versions (part numbers A37632919, A37632902). All versions are single-phase pumps with an IEC appliance connector; the mains cable for the respective country is ordered separately.
