Leybold SOGEVAC SV 70 BI² – rotary vane pump for analytical applications

The SOGEVAC SV 70 BI² is the more powerful of the two BI² pumps in the same 31 kg housing: 70 m³/h nominal pumping speed and at least 50 m³/h at 2 mbar for ICP-MS and LC/MS instruments. The adjustable rotational speed (900 to 1650 min⁻¹) allows the pumping speed to be matched to the instrument; at high inlet pressure the converter protects the pump from overheating. The inrush current stays below 7 A. Nominal pumping speed: 70 m³/h (50/60 Hz); pumping speed: ≥ 50 m³/h at 2 mbar. The pump measures 402 × 304 × 333 mm and weighs 31 kg with oil filling; the noise level is 59 dB(A).

Typical applications

For the analytical series Leybold names, among others, ICP-MS and LC/MS instruments and use as a backing pump for turbomolecular pumps. All pumps have an integrated anti-suckback valve, integrated lubrication with oil return without external oil lines and a low noise level thanks to low rotational speeds.

The SOGEVAC SV 70 BI² is available from Ehrler & Beck in two variants (part numbers 10330065V02, 10330065V07). The power consumption below 10 mbar is < 600 W.
