Atlas Copco GHS 5400 VSD+ – over 5000 m³/h from one pump

The GHS 5400 VSD+ reaches a nominal displacement of 5136 m³/h and an ultimate pressure of 0.35 mbar(a). Rated motor power 90 kW, frequency range 25–133 Hz (750–4000 rpm). Dimensions 2850 × 1939 × 1893 mm (L × W × H), net weight of the European version according to the data sheet 3030–3060 kg, of the US version 3910–4010 kg. Gas inlet DN 200, gas outlet DN 150.

Recovering energy

According to Atlas Copco, up to 75 % of the power input can be recovered as hot water with the integrated energy recovery system. The pump regulates its delivery rate in the range from 20 to 100 % and delivers only as much as the vacuum network requires.

Variants of the GHS 5400 VSD+

The GHS 5400 VSD+ is listed in nine variants. They differ in the following features:

• Cooling: air cooling or water cooling
• Oil: mineral oil or synthetic oil
• HEX@ controller with HMI; Atlas Copco phased out the versions with Elektronikon Mk5 in 2023
• European version (CE, IE5 motor) in seven variants or US version (UL), air-cooled or water-cooled
• Version with energy recovery (air-cooled, synthetic oil)
• Version for high air humidity (air-cooled or water-cooled, synthetic oil)

All variants are designed for 3Ph 380-460 V 50/60 Hz.
