Atlas Copco GHS VSD+ series

The Atlas Copco GHS VSD⁺ series comprises intelligent, oil-sealed screw vacuum pumps with variable speed drive (VSD). The modern screw technology combines high performance, energy efficiency and reliable operation at different operating pressures.

The integrated VSD technology automatically adjusts the pump output to the actual demand and thus reduces energy consumption. At the same time, the innovative motor design and the high oil retention ensure quiet operation, low environmental impact and a clean working environment.

Operating principle

The Atlas Copco GHS VSD+ series works according to the principle of dry-running screw vacuum technology. Two counter-rotating screw rotors move inside the pump housing without contact and continuously convey the gas drawn in through the compression stages. In the process, the gas is compressed step by step and then expelled through the outlet.

As the GHS VSD+ operates dry and oil-free, the conveyed medium does not come into contact with oil or lubricants in the compression chamber. The technology thus allows clean, contamination-free vacuum generation and is particularly suitable for demanding industrial processes.
