Atlas Copco GHS 2700 VSD+ – high performance on 30 % less floor space

According to the data sheet, the GHS 2700 VSD+ reaches a nominal displacement of 2674 m³/h and an ultimate pressure of 0.35 mbar(a). Rated motor power 45 kW, frequency range 37–195 Hz (750–3900 rpm at the motor shaft). Dimensions 1800 × 1938 × 1893 mm (L × W × H), weight according to the operating instructions 2037 kg air-cooled or 1944 kg water-cooled. Gas inlet DN 200, gas outlet DN 150. For the new range, Atlas Copco states a footprint that is 30 % smaller.

IE5 permanent-magnet motor and Neos inverter

The permanent-magnet motor achieves an efficiency corresponding to IE5 and is protected to IP55. The Neos inverter developed by Atlas Copco matches the speed to the process demand; the manufacturer states energy savings of up to 50 %.

Applications of the range

The pump is optimised for rough vacuum; Atlas Copco lists holding, lifting, conveying and transport applications (pick-and-place, envelope and paper converting, woodworking, canning), preservation (central vacuum systems for food packaging, chamber and carousel packaging machines), forming and shaping applications (vacuum-formed packaging, thermoformed plastic parts, EPS/EPP moulded parts) and clean operating environments (altitude simulation, laminating, house vacuum, electronics industry).

Variants of the GHS 2700 VSD+

The GHS 2700 VSD+ is listed in eight variants (part numbers 1950813825, 1950813826, 1950813829, 1950813830, 1950813833, 1950813834, 1950813843, 1950813844). They differ in the cooling (air or water), the oil (mineral oil or synthetic oil) and the approval: since March 2026 there have been CE versions for the European market (with synthetic oil, since April 2026 also as a Humid version for humid processes); the versions without CE marking are not intended for the EU. All are designed for 3Ph 380-460 V 50/60 Hz. Atlas Copco has announced a version with energy recovery; there is no part number for it yet.
