Atlas Copco GHS 2002 VSD+ – the top-of-the-range model with 37 kW

The GHS 2002 VSD+ delivers a nominal displacement of 1771 m³/h with an ultimate pressure of 0.3 mbar(a). Rated motor power 37 kW, frequency range 20–233 Hz (600–7000 rpm). Dimensions 1460 × 1360 × 1660 mm (L × W × H), net weight according to the data sheet 1100 kg, gas inlet and gas outlet DN 150 PN 10. According to the brochure, in temporary pump-down operation the pump reaches a higher pumping speed than the nominal value.

Clean exhaust air

For this generation, Atlas Copco states an oil carry-over of less than 1.5 mg/m³. Depending on the speed, the noise level is between 58 and 78 dB(A).

Applications

Optimised for rough vacuum, the generation covers the following fields according to Atlas Copco: forming and shaping applications (vacuum-formed packaging, thermoformed plastic parts), preservation (central vacuum systems for food packaging machines, chamber and carousel packaging machines), humid applications (clay extrusion, pipeline drying, vacuum cooling), clean operating environments (house vacuum, electronics industry, laminating) and holding, lifting, conveying and transport applications.

Variants of the GHS 2002 VSD+

The GHS 2002 VSD+ is listed in 9 variants. They differ in the following features:

• Humid version for high air humidity: considerably higher water vapour tolerance, gas outlet DN 150
• Version with energy recovery (ER): according to Atlas Copco around 80 % of the energy can be recovered as heat
• Version for high ambient temperatures (HAT) up to 50 °C
• Stainless steel version (SS)
• Oil: synthetic oil or food-grade oil (Foodgrade); operation via 7" touch HMI
• Versions with test report (Test Report)

All variants are designed for 3Ph 380-460 V 50/60 Hz. Not every size is available in every version; the list of variants is decisive.
