Leybold DRYVAC DV 1600 – the top model of the DRYVAC series

The DRYVAC DV 1600 leads the series with 1600 m³/h maximum pumping speed. It reaches < 5 × 10⁻³ mbar, has a rated power of 39.2 kW and draws 14 kW at ultimate pressure. Dimensions (1339 × 705 × 985 mm), weight (around 1400 kg) and connections (DN 100 ISO-K / DN 100 ISO-K) are the same as on the DV 1200; the cooling water requirement is 20 l/min and the noise level with silencer 70 dB(A). Leybold specifies the permissible ambient temperature for the DV 1200 and DV 1600 as 5 to 40 °C. The pump is supplied for 380–460 V (50/60 Hz); as on all DRYVAC pumps, an integrated frequency converter is standard equipment.

Networked and monitored

An RS485 interface, optional fieldbus modules and the GENIUS Instant Insights option for remote monitoring (status, availability, run time, energy consumption, alarms) make the DV 1600 ready for networked production.

Typical applications

Large furnace and coating systems, drying processes with high gas loads and central vacuum supplies with dry, hermetically sealed pumping technology.

Variants of the DRYVAC DV 1600

The DRYVAC DV 1600 is available from Ehrler & Beck in one version (part number 112160V17-1). The rated power is 39.2 kW at 380–460 V (50/60 Hz) for all variants, the weight around 1400 kg.

Features of the DRYVAC series

  • Oil-free pumping chamber: dry screw technology without oil backstreaming into the process
  • For the harshest applications: hermetically sealed, several purge gas options, flushable
  • Plug & Play: integrated frequency converter with sensors for exhaust pressure, motor and cooling water temperature, RS485 and fieldbus options
  • Energy-efficient: patented rotor design and blow-off valves reduce power consumption
  • Compact and water-cooled: according to Leybold significantly smaller than comparable pumps, cooling channels designed to prevent clogging
  • Combinable: with RUVAC Roots pumps to form pump systems
