About the series
Features and benefits of the DRYVAC series
The series at a glance
The intelligent self-regulation adjusts energy consumption to the actual demand and ensures high energy efficiency, low operating costs and reduced CO₂ emissions. The integrated frequency inverter and independent sensors allow continuous monitoring of pump performance.
Thanks to fieldbus and PLC compatibility, DRYVAC pumps can be easily integrated into modern systems and monitored. Typical applications are metallurgy, coating, drying, solar technology, vacuum chambers and load lock systems.
With the DRYVAC series, Leybold offers a powerful range of dry-running screw vacuum pumps developed for high process purity, reliable performance and low maintenance effort. The contact-free screw technology allows oil-free vacuum generation and is particularly suitable for demanding industrial and scientific applications. Thanks to its robust design and efficient dry-running technology, the DRYVAC series is a durable and reliable solution for vacuum processes with high demands on cleanliness and operational reliability.
Dry and oil-free
The Leybold DRYVAC series operates completely dry and oil-free in the compression chamber. This allows clean, contamination-free vacuum generation.
High pump performance
The powerful screw technology allows reliable vacuum generation at high pumping speeds and is suitable for demanding industrial processes.
Low maintenance effort
Thanks to the dry-running technology, there is no need for regular oil changes in the compression chamber. This reduces the maintenance effort and contributes to low operating costs.
Operating principle
The Leybold DRYVAC series works according to the principle of dry-running screw vacuum technology. Two counter-rotating screw rotors move inside the pump housing without contact and continuously convey the gas drawn in through the compression stages. In the process, the gas is compressed step by step and then expelled through the outlet.
As the DRYVAC series operates dry and oil-free, the conveyed medium does not come into contact with oil or lubricants in the compression chamber. The technology thus allows clean, contamination-free vacuum generation and is particularly suitable for demanding industrial processes.
The robust design and the contact-free screw principle allow reliable, durable and low-maintenance operation. Depending on the version, the DRYVAC series is also designed for different process conditions and demanding applications.
The DRYVAC series is suitable for numerous industrial and scientific applications that require dry, oil-free vacuum, high operational reliability, reliable performance and low maintenance effort.
