TRIVAC D 90 L – the most powerful TRIVAC L

The Leybold TRIVAC D 90 L is Leybold's 90 m³/h version for higher pumping speed requirements: 79 m³/h at 50 Hz and 95 m³/h at 60 Hz (nominal pumping speed 92 m³/h), ultimate total pressure 3 × 10⁻³ mbar without gas ballast. As applications of the TRIVAC L, Leybold names, among others, metallurgical plants and industrial furnaces, large-area and industrial coating, crystal pulling (sapphire, SiC) for semiconductor and solar materials, oil degassing and the manufacture of LNG cryogenic tanks.

Design and function

The TRIVAC L is Leybold's new generation of air-cooled, two-stage rotary vane vacuum pumps. The patented oil casing reduces heat dissipation to the surroundings, lowers the oil temperature and extends the oil service life; a sight glass allows the oil condition to be checked daily. According to Leybold, the gas ballast offers improved water vapour tolerance for humid processes: ultimate total pressure 6 × 10⁻³ mbar (position 1) / 2 × 10⁻² mbar (position 2), water vapour tolerance 25 mbar, water vapour capacity 1464 g/h (50 Hz) / 1757 g/h (60 Hz). The pump is designed to protection class IP 55, the inlet and outlet are DN 40 ISO-KF, and the outlet can be oriented vertically or horizontally. The standard filling is mineral oil LEYBONOL LVO 130 (3.6 / 4.8 l), the noise level is 58 / 60 dB(A) (without / with gas ballast position 1).

Motor options and systems

Leybold offers the large TRIVAC L models in the motor versions EU/CN (50 Hz regions), EU/US (wide-range version), JP/KR (Japan, Korea, Taiwan) and without motor. With the Roots adapter, the pump can be combined compactly with Roots pumps RUVAC WA(U), WS(U) and WH(U) to form pump systems.
