TRIVAC D 63 L – medium industrial size of the TRIVAC L

The Leybold TRIVAC D 63 L pumps 60 m³/h at 50 Hz and 72 m³/h at 60 Hz (nominal pumping speed 67 m³/h) with an ultimate total pressure of 3 × 10⁻³ mbar without gas ballast. The applications of the TRIVAC L named by Leybold include industrial furnaces, heat treatment, welding technology and metallurgical plants, the manufacture of insulated vessels and LNG cryogenic tanks, freeze drying, and large-area and industrial coating.

Design and function

The TRIVAC L is Leybold's new generation of air-cooled, two-stage rotary vane vacuum pumps. The patented oil casing reduces heat dissipation to the surroundings, lowers the oil temperature and extends the oil service life; a sight glass allows the oil condition to be checked daily. According to Leybold, the gas ballast offers improved water vapour tolerance for humid processes: ultimate total pressure 6 × 10⁻³ mbar (position 1) / 2 × 10⁻² mbar (position 2), water vapour tolerance 30 mbar, water vapour capacity 1334 g/h (50 Hz) / 1601 g/h (60 Hz). The pump is designed to protection class IP 55, the inlet and outlet are DN 40 ISO-KF, and the outlet can be oriented vertically or horizontally. The standard filling is mineral oil LEYBONOL LVO 130 (3.3 / 4.4 l), the noise level is 58 / 60 dB(A) (without / with gas ballast position 1).

Motor options and systems

Leybold offers the large TRIVAC L models in the motor versions EU/CN (50 Hz regions), EU/US (wide-range version), JP/KR (Japan, Korea, Taiwan) and without motor. With the Roots adapter, the pump can be combined compactly with Roots pumps RUVAC WA(U), WS(U) and WH(U) to form pump systems.
