TRIVAC D 40 B – industrial size with 40 m³/h

The Leybold TRIVAC D 40 B achieves 40 m³/h at 50 Hz and 48 m³/h at 60 Hz (nominal pumping speed 46 m³/h) and, without gas ballast, an ultimate total pressure of ≤ 2 × 10⁻³ mbar. For direct combination with the Roots pumps RUVAC WA(U)/WS(U) 251 and 501, Leybold offers a Roots pump adapter. As fields of application of the TRIVAC B series, Leybold names, among others, metallurgy and furnaces, the automotive industry, refrigeration and air conditioning, freeze-drying systems and fore vacuum for high vacuum pump systems.

Design and function

A cooling channel and a motor-driven fan keep the operating temperature constant, the built-in oil pump allows continuous operation up to an inlet pressure of 1000 mbar, and the oil-pressure-controlled anti-suckback valve prevents oil from flowing back. Water vapour tolerance 40 mbar, water vapour capacity 1185 g/h (50 Hz) / 1420 g/h (60 Hz), oil filling 1.7 / 2.6 l, noise level 57 / 59 dB(A) (without / with gas ballast). The TRIVAC D 40 B-DOT with EPDM seals is operated with brake fluid (DOT 4) and, according to Leybold, is used for filling brake circuits in the automotive industry.

The TRIVAC D 40 B is available from Ehrler & Beck in two variants (part numbers 11286, 1128612). The rated motor power is 2.2 kW (50 Hz), the weight ranges from 75.3 to 75.8 kg.
