Edwards EXS450 – dry screw vacuum pump
The EXS series uses the same screw technology as the GXS pumps but is designed for simplicity and robustness. The EXS450 reaches a typical maximum pumping speed of 450 m³/h and an ultimate pressure below 0.01 mbar; the motor power is 11 kW. A built-in frequency converter allows speed control and energy savings.Features
- Tapered screw with variable pitch (Quinby profile); rotors supported at both ends for very low vibration and reliable starting
- Non-contact labyrinth shaft seals with oil barrier; the shaft seal purge keeps oil out of the pumping chamber
- Additional blow-off valve for higher pumping speed in rough vacuum and shorter pump-down times
- Constant cooling water flow; gas ballast adjustable by hand
- Modbus RTU as standard, digital and analogue inputs and outputs; optional communication cards for further fieldbuses
