Operating principle
The Edwards EXS series works according to the principle of dry-running screw vacuum technology. Two counter-rotating screw rotors move inside the pump housing without contact and continuously convey the gas drawn in through the compression stages. In the process, the gas is compressed step by step and then expelled through the outlet.
As the EXS series operates dry and oil-free, the conveyed medium does not come into contact with oil or lubricants in the compression chamber. The technology thus allows clean, contamination-free vacuum generation and is particularly suitable for demanding industrial processes.
The robust design and the contact-free screw principle allow reliable, durable and low-maintenance operation. The dry-running technology reduces the maintenance effort and supports high operational reliability even in continuous use.
