Leybold RUVAC WA 501 – Roots pump with 505 m³/h nominal pumping speed

The RUVAC WA 501 doubles the nominal pumping speed of size 251 with the same DN 63 ISO-K connection flanges. As a WA version without pressure equalisation line, it is switched on at about 100 mbar; the permissible pressure difference in continuous operation is 80 mbar. Leybold gives the data with a SOGEVAC SV 200 as the backing pump. The nominal pumping speed is 505 m³/h at 50 Hz and 606 m³/h at 60 Hz, the maximum effective pumping speed 410 and 530 m³/h respectively. The pump measures 840 × 310 × 340 mm, weighs 137 kg and is connected via DN 63 ISO-K; the noise level is below 67 dB(A).

Typical applications

Roots pumps of the RUVAC series work as boosters in front of an oil-sealed or dry backing pump. Leybold lists heat treatment and furnace construction, metallurgy, large-area coating including architectural glass, load-lock chambers, high-speed food packaging, the evacuation of lamps, and crystal pulling systems for the semiconductor and solar industries as typical applications.

Variants of the RUVAC WA 501

The RUVAC WA 501 is available from Ehrler & Beck in four variants (part numbers 11730, 12838TE, 11734, 11734TE). The motor power of all versions with motor is 2.2 kW at 50 and 60 Hz; the mains voltage ranges from 200–240 V to 380–460 V. The pump is also available without a motor for customer IEC motors.
