Leybold RUVAC WAU 2001 – Roots pump with 2050 m³/h nominal pumping speed

The RUVAC WAU 2001 is the top model of the air-cooled RUVAC pumps with pressure equalisation line: 2050 m³/h nominal pumping speed, start at atmospheric pressure and a 7.5 kW IE3 motor. It is also available as an H version with ACE vibration absorber and with the LEYTRONIC frequency converter. The nominal pumping speed is 2050 m³/h at 50 Hz and 2460 m³/h at 60 Hz, the maximum effective pumping speed 1850 and 2100 m³/h respectively. The pump measures 1277 × 638 × 530 mm, weighs 452 kg and is connected via DN 160 ISO-K; the noise level is below 80 dB(A).

Typical applications

Roots pumps of the RUVAC series work as boosters in front of an oil-sealed or dry backing pump. Leybold lists heat treatment and furnace construction, metallurgy, large-area coating including architectural glass, load-lock chambers, high-speed food packaging, the evacuation of lamps, and crystal pulling systems for the semiconductor and solar industries as typical applications.

Variants of the RUVAC WAU 2001

The RUVAC WAU 2001 is available from Ehrler & Beck in seven variants (part numbers 11751, 11751T, 11751TE, 11322, 11322TE, 11851, 11851TE). The motor power of all versions with motor is 7.5 kW at 50 and 60 Hz; the mains voltage ranges from 200–240 V to 380–460 V. The pump is also available without a motor for customer IEC motors. The H version has an ACE vibration absorber.
