Becker VADS 250 – screw vacuum pump with VARIAIR direct drive

The VADS 250 delivers 240 m³/h referred to atmospheric pressure or 290 m³/h referred to the inlet pressure and reaches a vacuum of ≤ 0.1 mbar absolute. The rotors run at 5000–10000 min⁻¹ (170–340 Hz); the VARIAIR frequency converter (7.5 kW, 400/480 V ±10 %, 50/60 Hz) controls the speed. Sound pressure level 68 dB(A), weight 280 kg, oil quantity 8 l, dimensions 1192 × 520 × 923 mm (L × W × H), suction connection G 2 1/2", exhaust connection G 2".

Contact-free screw technology

The counter-rotating screw rotors compress without contact; the pumping chamber is oil-free. The direct drive via the integrated frequency converter means that no gearbox is needed to adapt the speed, and the speed control allows energy-optimised operation.
