Atlas Copco DVS 5 – oil-free vacuum in the smallest format

The DVS 5 delivers a nominal flow of 5 m³/h at 50 Hz and 6 m³/h at 60 Hz and reaches an ultimate vacuum of 120 mbar(a). The motor delivers 0.12 kW (60 Hz: 0.15 kW) at 2800 / 3300 rpm. The 1-phase version measures 226 × 139 × 138 mm, the 3-phase version 226 × 120 × 138 mm (L × W × H); both weigh 5.4 kg. Inlet and outlet have a G 1/8" thread; the inlet is designed as a hose connector with a diameter of 9 mm.

Graphite vanes instead of oil

The DVS pumps work as positive displacement pumps with rotary vanes made of a graphite alloy. They need neither oil nor oil filters; according to Atlas Copco the vanes generate the vacuum with minimal friction, which ensures reliability and long maintenance intervals.

Applications of the range

For the DVS series, Atlas Copco lists packaging, medical systems, pick-and-place, CNC clamping, laboratory vacuum, holding, lifting and moving, pneumatic conveying, the printing industry and woodworking.

Variants of the DVS 5

The DVS 5 is available from Ehrler & Beck in three variants: 3002615661 (1Ph 220-240 V 50/60 Hz), 3002615666 (3Ph 175-300/300-520 V 50/60 Hz), 3002615675 (1Ph 110-115 V 60 Hz).
