Becker U 5.40 (XL K) – oil-lubricated rotary vane vacuum pump

The U 5.40 (XL K) delivers 40 m³/h at 50 Hz and 48 m³/h at 60 Hz and reaches an ultimate pressure of 1.0 mbar; for continuous operation Becker gives a working range of 1–300 mbar (XL K); XL and standard 1–100 mbar. Installed motor power: 1.1 / 1.35 kW (three-phase or single-phase). Sound pressure level 67 / 71 dB(A) at 50 / 60 Hz (XL K and XL; standard version 64 / 67 dB(A)). Weight: 27.0 kg (three-phase) or 28.5 kg (single-phase), XL K with motor. Dimensions up to 457 × approx. 250 × up to 192.1 mm (depending on the motor), oil quantity 1.0 l (XL, XL K) or 0.5 l.

Use

Becker names packaging and food processing machines as typical areas of use. The pump has a high water vapour tolerance. According to Becker, the oil-lubricated pumps up to 40 m³/h have the lowest installation height in the industry – designed for modern tabletop packaging machines; compared with a 21 m³/h pump of the same size, the U 5.40 is said to evacuate up to 40 % faster.
