Becker U 4.40 – oil-lubricated rotary vane vacuum pump

The U 4.40 delivers 41 m³/h at 50 Hz and 48 m³/h at 60 Hz (tolerance ±5 %) and reaches an ultimate pressure of 0.5 mbar. Three-phase motor 1.5 / 1.8 kW at 50 / 60 Hz (IE3); for single-phase supply there is one motor for 50 Hz (1.5 kW) and one for 60 Hz (1.8 kW). Sound pressure level 69 / 71 dB(A) at 50 / 60 Hz. Weight approx. 38 kg; length 462 or 465 mm, height 264 or 280 mm depending on the motor; housing width 269 or 277 mm, plus a part projecting approx. 62 mm at the side. Suction connection G 1" with integrated non-return valve, exhaust connection G 3/4"; oil filling 1.0 l (Becker Lube M 100, S 100 or SL 100). Becker lists a gas ballast valve and an external inlet filter as options. Data according to the Becker data sheet of 02.04.2019.

Availability

The U 4.40 is no longer in the international Becker product range catalogue 01/2026, and its data sheet is in the archive of the Becker download centre. Becker Pumps in the USA still lists it in its U series (as of October 2026). Ehrler & Beck checks availability on request. Alternatives in the current Becker range are the Becker U 5.40 (XL K) with 40 m³/h and an ultimate pressure of 1 mbar and the Becker U 5.45 with 45 m³/h and 0.5 mbar (each at 50 Hz).
