Leybold RUVAC WH 4400 – water-cooled Roots pump with 4400 m³/h nominal pumping speed

The RUVAC WH 4400 combines 4400 m³/h nominal pumping speed with the compact, water-cooled design of the WH series. A 11 kW motor is standard; for high gas loads there is the heavy-duty version with 18.5 kW, gas-sealed impellers and purge gas. All versions can be operated with a frequency converter up to 4800 min⁻¹ (80 Hz, 7040 m³/h), and the pumping direction can be converted from vertical to horizontal by the customer. The nominal pumping speed is 4400 m³/h at 50 Hz and 5280 m³/h at 60 Hz, the maximum effective pumping speed 3300 and 3900 m³/h respectively. In the standard version the pump measures 1183 × 540 × 414 mm, weighs 590 kg and is connected via DN 250 ISO-K (inlet) and DN 160 ISO-K (outlet); the noise level is below 63 dB(A).

Typical applications

Leybold developed the WH series for applications with high demands on operating pressure, cycle time and system availability: display production, solar industry, furnace construction, industrial coating, research and space simulation. The pumps work as boosters in front of dry backing pumps of the DRYVAC, SCREWLINE and LEYVAC series or in front of oil-sealed SOGEVAC pumps.

The RUVAC WH 4400 is available from Ehrler & Beck in 14 variants (part numbers 1227440V14, 1227440V24, 1227440V10, 127440V14, 127440V19, 127440V24, 127440V29, 127440V10, 155150, 155151V, 155155, 155156, 155154V, 167193V). The motor power ranges from 11 kW to 18.5 kW. Available oil fillings: ester oil LEYBONOL LVO 210, PFPE LEYBONOL LVO 400. Several part numbers describe the same version: Leybold has changed the numbers of the series twice, so the numbers from the catalogue, the current operating instructions and the web shop are listed together.
