Leybold RUVAC WHU 7000 – water-cooled Roots pump with 7000 m³/h nominal pumping speed

The RUVAC WHU 7000 combines the highest pumping speed in the series with the patented bypass line for starting at atmospheric pressure. It is intended for very large load-lock chambers and short cycle times; the permissible pressure difference in short-cycle operation of under two minutes is 70 mbar. It is driven by a 18.5 kW motor; the oil filling is ester oil LEYBONOL LVO 210. The nominal pumping speed is 7000 m³/h at 50 Hz and 8400 m³/h at 60 Hz, the maximum effective pumping speed 4700 and 5300 m³/h respectively. In the standard version the pump measures 1433 × 600 × 416 mm, weighs 700 kg and is connected via DN 320 ISO-K (inlet) and DN 160 ISO-K (outlet); the noise level is below 63 dB(A).

Typical applications

Leybold developed the WH series for applications with high demands on operating pressure, cycle time and system availability: display production, solar industry, furnace construction, industrial coating, research and space simulation. The pumps work as boosters in front of dry backing pumps of the DRYVAC, SCREWLINE and LEYVAC series or in front of oil-sealed SOGEVAC pumps.

Variants of the RUVAC WHU 7000

The RUVAC WHU 7000 is available from Ehrler & Beck in three variants (part numbers 1227700V15, 127700V15, 155162). The motor power is 18.5 kW for all variants. Available oil filling: ester oil LEYBONOL LVO 210. Several part numbers describe the same version: Leybold has changed the numbers of the series twice, so the numbers from the catalogue, the current operating instructions and the web shop are listed together.
