Leybold RUVAC WH 2500 – water-cooled Roots pump with 2500 m³/h nominal pumping speed

The RUVAC WH 2500 is the most versatile model in the WH series: it is available with an integrated frequency converter, with a motor for an external frequency converter or for direct-on-line operation (DOL). With a frequency converter it reaches up to 6000 min⁻¹ and thus 5000 m³/h nominal pumping speed at 100 Hz. The laterally offset outlet flange is arranged either on the gear side (for DRYVAC) or on the motor side (for SOGEVAC and SCREWLINE), so that the pump is mounted directly on the backing pump without an intermediate frame. The nominal pumping speed is 2500 m³/h at 50 Hz and 3000 m³/h at 60 Hz, the maximum effective pumping speed 2200 and 2500 m³/h respectively. In the standard version the pump measures 1076 × 570 × 447 mm, weighs 430 kg and is connected via DN 250 ISO-K (inlet) and DN 100 ISO-K (outlet); the noise level is below 63 dB(A).

Typical applications

Leybold developed the WH series for applications with high demands on operating pressure, cycle time and system availability: display production, solar industry, furnace construction, industrial coating, research and space simulation. The pumps work as boosters in front of dry backing pumps of the DRYVAC, SCREWLINE and LEYVAC series or in front of oil-sealed SOGEVAC pumps.

The variants also differ in the drive concept (integrated frequency converter, external frequency converter or mains operation), in the mains voltage (400 V or 200 V) and in the position of the outlet flange (gear side or motor side).
