Edwards E2M40 – two-stage rotary vane vacuum pump for industry

The E2M40 belongs to Edwards' E2M series of robust two-stage rotary vane pumps (40 to 275 m³/h). It delivers 37 m³/h at 50 Hz and 44 m³/h at 60 Hz and reaches an ultimate pressure of 4.5 × 10⁻³ mbar without gas ballast, 0.027 mbar with gas ballast. The motor power is 1.1 kW at 50 Hz and 1.5 kW at 60 Hz (Europe/USA version). The sound pressure level is 65 dB(A); with motor the pump weighs a maximum of 76 kg and measures 780 × 263 × 416 mm (L × W × H).

Versions of the Edwards E2M40

The E2M40 is available in 9 versions (part numbers A36404940, A36404934, A36401000, NRY7TT000, A36407940, A36407934, A36417940, A36417934, A36411000). HC is the standard pump for hydrocarbon oil; on the AZ version copper and brass parts are replaced by suitable materials such as stainless steel (azide-compatible). The FX version is prepared for PFPE oil and suitable for oxygen concentrations above 21 %; the PFPE oil is ordered separately. The motor versions are available for Europe/USA and for Asia, plus a 575 V version for Canada; the versions without motor have a free shaft end with IEC flange.
