Leybold ECODRY 40 plus – clean backing pump for analytics and research

The ECODRY 40 plus achieves 40 m³/h maximum pumping speed for air (50 m³/h for helium) and an ultimate pressure below 0.03 mbar, below 0.1 mbar with gas ballast. The water vapour capacity is 300 g/h. The housing measures 623 × 320 × 298 mm and weighs around 43 kg; the inlet is DN 25 ISO-KF, the exhaust DN 16 ISO-KF. Integrated castors make it easier to move.

So quiet you hardly notice it

Leybold specifies less than 52 dB(A) – achieved through contact-free rotors, a low-vibration drive, an efficient fan, a sound-insulated housing and an integrated, particularly quiet silencer. A non-return valve in the exhaust protects against sudden venting in the event of a power failure.

Typical applications

Analytical instruments such as mass spectrometers, electron microscopy (backing pump for several turbomolecular pumps), regeneration of cryopumps, UHV systems and large accelerator facilities.

Variants of the ECODRY 40 plus

The ECODRY 40 plus is available from Ehrler & Beck in two variants (part numbers 161040V22, 161040V21). The rated power is 1.2 kW for all variants (0.6 kW at ultimate pressure); the mains voltage ranges from 100–120 V to 200–240 V (50/60 Hz, 1-phase). The weight is around 43 kg.
