Atlas Copco GVS 60 A – from this size upwards also for oxygen applications

The GVS 60 A delivers 59 m³/h at 50 Hz and 71 m³/h at 60 Hz; the ultimate pressure is 0.5 mbar(a) without gas ballast and 1.5 mbar(a) with open gas ballast. The three-phase motor delivers 1.5 kW (60 Hz: 1.8 kW). Dimensions with inlet filter: 609 × 320 × 481 mm, net mass 52 kg, oil filling 2 l. Connections: G 1 1/4" female thread.

O2 version and large gas ballast

For applications with a high oxygen concentration there is an O2 version from the GVS 60 A upwards; its ultimate pressure is 1 mbar(a) (with open gas ballast 2.5 mbar(a)). With standard gas ballast a water vapour inlet pressure of 30 mbar(a) is permissible, with large gas ballast 60 mbar(a); Atlas Copco gives the water vapour pumping rate as 1 kg/h.

Variants of the GVS 60 A

The GVS 60 A is available from Ehrler & Beck in six variants (part numbers 8153315844, 8153315851, 8153315877, 8153316826, 3002615027, 3002615035). Atlas Copco distinguishes between European and world versions with different motors and voltage ranges; for North America there are versions with NPT connections and for 575 V 60 Hz. The motor power is 1.5 kW at 50 Hz and 1.8 kW at 60 Hz; the net mass according to the operating instructions is 52 kg.
