Atlas Copco DZS and DZS VSD+ series

The Atlas Copco DZS VSD⁺ series comprises single-stage, oil-free and air-cooled Class 0 dry claw vacuum pumps with integrated VSD⁺ inverter technology. The DZS 100, 200 and 400 VSD⁺ range was developed specifically for reliable rough vacuum applications with high energy efficiency and low maintenance.

The compact and robust design allows space-saving installation and a long service life even under demanding operating conditions. The variable speed matches the pump performance to the actual demand and thereby reduces energy consumption.

Operating principle

The Atlas Copco DZS and DZS VSD+ series works on the principle of dry-running claw vacuum technology. Two counter-rotating claw rotors turn without contact inside the pump housing and convey the air drawn in continuously through the pump chamber. During transport, the gas is compressed and then discharged through the outlet.

As the DZS series runs dry and oil-free, the pumped medium does not come into contact with oil or lubricants. This makes the technology particularly suitable for processes that require a clean and contamination-free vacuum.

The robust construction and the contact-free claw principle allow reliable and low-maintenance operation. On the DZS VSD+ models, the speed of the pump is adjusted automatically to the actual vacuum demand, which can reduce energy consumption under changing operating conditions.
