Atlas Copco DZS 400 VSD+ – the largest model of the DZS 100–400 VSD+A range

According to the brochure, the DZS 400 VSD+ (Atlas Copco: DZS 400 VSD+A) reaches up to 398 m³/h; the ultimate pressure in continuous operation is 140 mbar(a). The motor delivers 11 kW at maximum speed; the shaft turns at 1200–4200 rpm (40–140 Hz). Dimensions 1087 × 501 × 764 mm (L × W × H), unit weight 343 kg. The inlet is designed as G 2", the outlet as G 1 1/4"; NPT adapters are included in the scope of delivery.

Building block for central vacuum systems

Three and four pumps of this size respectively form the core of the multi-claw systems DZM 1200 and DZM 1600 VSD+A. As a single pump, the DZS 400 VSD+ can be linked with further pumps via HEX@GRID LINK to form a centrally controlled system.

Applications of the range

Atlas Copco sees the DZS claw pumps in, among others, CNC milling and clamping, plastics processing (pneumatic conveying, extrusion), vacuum sewage systems, drying, sterilisation, pick-and-place and central vacuum systems.

Variants of the DZS 400 VSD+

The DZS 400 VSD+ is available from Ehrler & Beck in three variants (part numbers 3002615202, 3002615324, 3081500044): with IE3 motor, with IE4 motor and as an oxygen version (O2) with IE4 motor. All three are IEC and UL/cUL versions for 380 to 460 V at a mains frequency of 50 or 60 Hz.
