Becker RBP 500 – Roots booster for fast evacuation

The RBP 500 is a Roots pump with a nominal pumping speed of 500 m³/h at 50 Hz and 600 m³/h at 60 Hz and a differential pressure of 60 mbar. Installed motor power 2.2–3.0 kW, sound pressure level 73 / 78 dB(A) (50 / 60 Hz), weight without motor approx. 141 kg, oil quantity approx. 1.7 l (Becker Lube G 220). Width × height 370 × 320 mm, length depending on the motor; connection DN 100 PN 10 (DIN 2532).

Use in a pumping station

Becker uses the RBP Roots pumps specifically for the vacuum packaging of food: as a pumping station together with an oil-lubricated rotary vane vacuum pump they achieve, according to Becker, higher evacuation speeds than a vacuum pump integrated in the packaging machine. The Roots pumps can only be used in combination with oil-lubricated rotary vane vacuum pumps.

Integrated bypass valve

The bypass valve protects the pump in fast-cycling packaging processes. The rotors compress without contact and oil-free.
