Edwards nEDC65 – dry claw vacuum pump with 65 m³/h

The Edwards nEDC65 is the smallest pump of the new mono-claw generation. In continuous operation it reaches 50 mbar and, at 66 dB(A) at 50 Hz, works considerably more quietly than larger claw pumps – made possible by the silencer newly developed by Edwards. The pumping chamber is oil-free, and the claws run without contact. With motor the pump measures 878 × 401 × 501 mm and weighs around 153 kg (tolerance ±10 kg, including oil). The gearbox is filled with 0.7 l of GL+ Xpand 150; the noise level is 66 dB(A) at 50 Hz and 72 dB(A) at 60 Hz.

Typical applications

For the nEDC and EDC claw pumps Edwards names, among others, central vacuum systems, plastics extrusion, woodworking, vacuum conveying, pick-and-place, drying and degassing, printing and paper processing, medical technology, milking and milk transport, thermoforming and waste extraction.

Variants of the Edwards nEDC65

The nEDC65 is available from Ehrler & Beck in seven variants (part numbers A50875220, A50875020, A50875120, A50875620, A50875320, A50875021, A50875022). The motor power ranges from 1.8 kW at 50 Hz to 2.2 kW; the mains voltages range from 200 V to 575 V. Two variants are supplied without motor with a free shaft end.
