Technology and features
Operating principle
Claw vacuum pumps were developed for industrial applications that require constant vacuum, high pumping speed and completely oil-free compression. Two claw rotors running without contact compress the air without oil or other operating fluids in the pump chamber, which saves a considerable amount of energy compared with conventional designs. Explosion-proof versions are available for many series.
The technology page shows the operating principle with an interactive drawing: Claw vacuum pumps.
Features of the series
- Also available with IE4 motors of the highest efficiency class
- Single-stage, dry (oil-free) mono claw pump; contact-free internal parts without wear
- Modular design: pump chamber accessible for cleaning without touching the gearbox and timing
- Newly developed, integrated silencer; compact footprint
- Lower internal temperatures extend the service life of the lip seals and prevent oil leaks
- Corrosion-resistant claws and coated pump chamber as standard
Manufacturer's data as given in the product descriptions of the individual models.
