Becker VX 4.40 – oil-free rotary vane vacuum pump of the X series

The VX 4.40 delivers 40 m³/h at 50 Hz and 48 m³/h at 60 Hz and reaches a vacuum of 100 mbar absolute. The installed motor power is 1.25–1.3 kW at 50 Hz and 1.5 kW at 60 Hz (depending on the motor). The sound pressure level is 67 dB(A) (50 Hz) or 72 dB(A) (60 Hz), the weight with motor approx. 38–41 kg, depending on the motor. Dimensions 561 × 270–280 × 299 mm (L × W × H), suction connection G 3/4".

Dry-running rotary vane principle

The pump is designed for continuous operation in the rough vacuum range. Its self-lubricating vanes run without oil – there is no oil change, and the conveyed air stays free of oil. This makes the VX 4.40 a solution for applications that require a clean environment. The operating point can be set with the integrated vacuum regulating valve.

X series

For the X series Becker has developed a special vane material: the vanes achieve service lives of up to 20,000 operating hours or 3 years, and there is virtually no abrasion. Becker therefore describes the pumps as suitable for precision processes under clean-room conditions; the air flow is low in pulsation. Size, motor and connections correspond to the VT 4.40.

Design and equipment

The motor drives the rotor directly via the motor shaft – this keeps the pump compact and makes installation easier. The robust design is intended for long running times even under demanding conditions, and maintenance can be carried out on site.
