Leybold NEO D 65 – the top model of the NEO D series

With a nominal pumping speed of 74 m³/h at 50 Hz and 89 m³/h at 60 Hz (effective 63 and 76 m³/h respectively), the NEO D 65 is the most powerful pump in the series. It reaches < 8 × 10⁻³ mbar without gas ballast and < 1 × 10⁻¹ mbar with gas ballast, measures 669 × 359 × 320 mm, weighs 88 kg and is connected via DN 40 ISO-KF; the oil filling is 3 l. The NEO D 65 is supplied with a 3-phase world motor; Leybold does not offer a 1-phase motor version for this size. For operation on a 1-phase mains supply, the external frequency converter is available as an accessory; it also provides speed control, soft start without inrush current peak and RS485 monitoring.

Monitoring and Roots combination

Only for this size does Leybold offer a PT100 sensor for monitoring the pump temperature and a dedicated temperature switch. With the Roots adapter, a directly coupled pumping station with up to 500 m³/h is created; the Pump Service Indicator reports oil level, oil temperature and filter condition.

Typical applications

Heat treatment and plasma processes, backing pump for Roots and high vacuum pumps, research and development, analytics and sterilisation.

Variants of the NEO D 65

The NEO D 65 is available from Ehrler & Beck in four variants (part numbers 970402V, 970402V4020, 970402V4100, 970402V4200). The motor power is 2 kW at 50 Hz; the variants also differ in the factory oil filling (LEYBONOL LVO 700, LEYBONOL LVO 130) and in the gas ballast version. Pumping speed, ultimate pressure, dimensions and weight (88 kg) are the same for all variants.
