Leybold NEO D series

The Leybold NEO D series comprises 5 oil-lubricated rotary vane vacuum pumps with nominal pumping speeds from 16 to 63 m³/h (50 Hz) and an ultimate pressure of 8 × 10⁻³ mbar.

Operating principle

Rotary vane technology allows a technically simple design of vacuum pumps. A consistently high vacuum level in continuous operation is ensured by the circulating oil lubrication, perfectly matched materials and modern, precise manufacturing techniques. The oil separator with integrated oil return provides clean, oil-free exhaust air. A further advantage over other technologies is the low purchase cost.

Features of the series

  • Continuous operation at any intake pressure: from atmospheric pressure to ultimate pressure
  • Energy-efficient: according to the manufacturer typically 20% lower energy consumption than comparable pumps
  • Integrated exhaust filter: exhaust gas free of oil mist without an external separator, pumping of vapours without condensation
  • Quiet operation: 52 dB(A) for the NEO SD 16, 54 dB(A) for NEO D 16 and D 25, 57 dB(A) for NEO D 40 and D 65
  • Options: external frequency inverter, gas ballast versions, oil level, temperature and filter monitoring
  • Intake port valve: closes hydraulically at standstill and prevents oil from flowing back
