Leybold NEO D 25 – 50 % more pumping speed in the same size

The NEO D 25 delivers a nominal pumping speed of 28 m³/h at 50 Hz and 34 m³/h at 60 Hz (effective 24 and 29 m³/h respectively) and, at 518 × 288 × 294 mm and 48 kg, remains practically as compact as the NEO D 16. The ultimate total pressure is < 8 × 10⁻³ mbar without gas ballast and < 1 × 10⁻¹ mbar with gas ballast; the connection is DN 25 ISO-KF and the oil filling 1.5 l. The pump is designed for continuous operation at any inlet pressure and, according to the manufacturer, works most effectively between 0.01 and 1 mbar – the typical working range of two-stage rotary vane pumps.

Exhaust filter, oil filter and anti-suckback valve on board

The integrated exhaust filter ensures exhaust gas free of oil mist without external accessories and, thanks to its operating temperature, prevents pumped vapours from condensing. An oil filter keeps the lubrication system clean, and the hydraulically closing anti-suckback valve prevents oil from flowing back into the system at standstill or in the event of a power failure. In clean applications, Leybold specifies up to three years of maintenance-free operation.

Typical applications

Backing pump for turbomolecular pumps in research and development, analytics and glove boxes, heat treatment, plasma processes and sterilisation. Leybold reports NEO D 16 and D 25 pumps in 24/7 operation in the production of synthetic diamonds.

Variants of the NEO D 25

The NEO D 25 is available from Ehrler & Beck in eight variants (part numbers 970200V, 970200V4020, 970200V4100, 970200V4200, 970202V, 970202V4020, 970202V4100, 970202V4200). The motor power is 0.9 kW at 50 Hz; the variants also differ in the factory oil filling (LEYBONOL LVO 700, LEYBONOL LVO 130) and in the gas ballast version. Pumping speed, ultimate pressure, dimensions and weight (48 kg) are the same for all variants.
