Atlas Copco AWS 8000 – robust liquid ring pump for process vacuum

The AWS 8000 delivers up to 8100 m³/h and reaches 33 mbar(a). It is supplied without motor; the drive power is 200 kW. Inlet and outlet DN 300, operating water connection DN 65, dimensions 2020 × 1463 × 1928 mm (L × W × H), weight 3750 kg.

The workhorses of the liquid ring range

The AWS pumps work reliably from atmospheric pressure down to ultimate pressure and pump dry as well as humid gases. Inlet manifold and outlet separator are already fitted; the internal water recirculation saves operating water.

Applications of the range

Atlas Copco lists tyre manufacturing, EPS, filtration, drying, evaporation, pulp and paper, and the evisceration of poultry; in general, filtration, vacuum forming and rapid evacuation.

Variants of the AWS 8000

Ehrler & Beck supplies the AWS 8000 in grey cast iron, as a stainless steel fitted version (grey cast iron with stainless steel impeller), entirely in SS 304 or in SS 316L, in each case with DIN or ANSI flanges.
