Knitting produces lint and dirt; for dirt extraction on circular and flat knitting machines, Elmo Rietschle names side channel blowers of the G family.
Air-jet weaving machines and yarn treatment
On air-jet weaving machines, Elmo Rietschle names yarn handling and selvedge extraction; Elmo Rietschle lists the steam treatment of yarn without describing it. The manufacturer assigns no series to these tasks; for the textile industry as a whole, it names the V, G, L and C families.
Carpet drying and dewatering
According to Elmo Rietschle, dyed carpets are dewatered and dried with vacuum pumps on suction rolls. For vacuum drying, Elmo Rietschle names versions with high water vapour tolerance – V-VC 40–150 with 40–180 m³/h – and for short evacuation times the S-VSI 300 with up to 380 m³/h and 0.1 mbar (abs.).
Fabric cutting tables and CNC cutting
On fabric cutting tables, an air cushion positions the fabric and vacuum fixes it for cutting; according to Elmo Rietschle, vacuum provides secure fixing in CNC machining. The manufacturer names no series for this.
