Atlas Copco LRP 900 VSD+ – 940 m³/h on an unchanged footprint

The LRP 900 VSD+ delivers 940 m³/h with dry air and 1090 m³/h with saturated air and reaches an ultimate pressure of 25 mbar(a). The main motor delivers 26 kW. As with the sister models, the housing measures 1950 × 810 × 1020 mm; the dry weight of the standard version is 885 kg. Connections: flange DN 100 PN 10 at the inlet and outlet.

Controller and networking

The MKV Elektronikon controller from Atlas Copco is built in as standard. It shows pump status, operating conditions, warnings and maintenance information and can be integrated into a process control system. Several LRP VSD+ pumps can be monitored and controlled together via the HEX@GRID central controller; the pump is compatible with the GENIUS platform for remote monitoring.

Applications of the range

The fields of application named by Atlas Copco include food processing (cheese, milk evaporation, bottling, fruit processing, poultry and meat processing), plastics extrusion, rubber vulcanisation and forming, drying, sterilisation, evaporation, the forming of expanded polystyrene, filtration and transport.

Variants of the LRP 900 VSD+

The LRP 900 VSD+ is available from Ehrler & Beck in ten variants (part numbers 1950813004, 1950813007, 1950813010, 1950813013, 1950813016, 1950813019, 1950813022, 1950813025, 1950813031, 1950813034). They differ in the routing of the operating liquid, the material and the enclosure protection:

• Total recovery with plate heat exchanger (standard): closed system; the operating liquid is cooled and reused. According to Atlas Copco up to 95 % water savings compared with conventional once-through systems
• Shell-and-tube heat exchanger (TS): total recovery for poor water quality, more resistant to contamination
• Once-through with proportional valve (OT-PV): the operating liquid is discharged directly; the proportional valve matches its inflow to the process
• Once-through with centrifugal pump (OT/CP): variable-speed centrifugal pump for the seal water supply, without additional pressure from an external piping system
• Stainless steel (SS): all wetted metal parts made of stainless steel 316 for applications with chemicals or corrosive media
• Weather-resistant (WR): for (partial) outdoor use, housing with ventilation slots, electrical connections to IP56
