Edwards GMB40K – high-performance Roots booster for harsh applications
The GMB40K is a Roots booster of the GMB series (GMB25K, GMB40K). The patented composite design of the rotors – high-strength alloy steel shafts with lightweight rotor lobes – allows high speeds at maximum pumping capacity: 44300 m³/h at 3960 min⁻¹. The pump needs a backing pump capacity of at least 6500 m³/h and, with typical Edwards backing pumps, reaches an ultimate pressure below 0.01 mbar.Features
