Atlas Copco DBS 530 – single-stage side channel blower with single impeller

Depending on the model, the DBS 530 delivers up to 530 m³/h at 50 Hz and up to 620 m³/h at 60 Hz. According to the data sheet, it reaches down to −300 mbar in vacuum operation and up to +300 mbar in compressor operation. The motor power is 5.5–6.3 kW (IE3). Dimensions up to 459 × 464 × 461 mm (L × W × H), weight 64.4 kg, inlet and outlet G 2 1/2" (DN 65). Atlas Copco marks the data sheets of the models with part number 8055810… as preliminary (as of 09/2024).

Oil-free side channel principle

According to Atlas Copco, the DBS range with single impeller is suitable for volume flows up to 1370 m³/h at a vacuum of up to −360 mbar (50 Hz). The impeller accelerates the air in the side channels without contact; there is no oil, no oil filter and no exhaust filter, and the exhaust air stays clean.

Applications of the range

Atlas Copco lists, among others, pad printing, paper cutting, roller cleaning, yarn processing, pneumatic conveying, vacuum tables, drying, the extraction of condensate, paint mist, chips and dust, and waste water treatment.

Variants of the DBS 530

The DBS 530 is available from Ehrler & Beck in one variant: 8055810025 (DBS 530-300). The limit values of each variant – vacuum and compressor operation, 50 and 60 Hz – are given in the technical data.
