Leybold SOGEVAC series

The Leybold SOGEVAC series comprises proven rotary vane vacuum pumps for generating rough and medium vacuum. With a wide pumping speed range from 10 to 1200 m³/h, the series offers suitable solutions for a wide variety of industrial applications.

The pumps are suitable for continuous operation from atmospheric pressure down to ultimate pressure and stand out for their high pumping speed, low noise and vibration levels and efficient air cooling. An integrated exhaust filter with an efficiency of 99.9% reduces oil carry-over and ensures largely oil-free exhaust air.

SOGEVAC pumps can be used both as stand-alone backing pumps and in combination with Roots or high vacuum pumps.

Operating principle

The Leybold SOGEVAC series works on the proven principle of single-stage, oil-sealed rotary vane vacuum technology. An eccentrically mounted rotor with vanes rotates inside the pump housing, creating continuously changing working chambers. The air drawn in is compressed by the change in volume of the working chambers and is then expelled through the outlet.

The pump oil performs important functions for lubrication, sealing and heat dissipation and thus supports reliable and efficient pump operation. An integrated oil separation system reduces oil carry-over and contributes to clean operation. Depending on the version, functions such as gas ballast and different oil variants may be available for various process requirements.

The robust design, the reliable vacuum performance and the wide choice of sizes make the SOGEVAC series a versatile solution for numerous industrial, scientific and laboratory applications.
