Edwards IDX1300 – dry screw vacuum pump for industry

The IDX1300 works with a double-ended screw, which provides thermal stability, and is designed for the fast pump-down of large chambers and high gas quantities in rough vacuum. It delivers at least 1100 m³/h (typical peak pumping speed 1200 m³/h) and reaches an ultimate pressure of 5 × 10⁻² mbar.

Features

Balanced rotors without coating; according to Edwards no loss of performance over the operating time
No compression plate: better tolerance of dust and liquid; can be flushed with water and solvent
Filtered, pumped oil circuit for bearings and gears
Indirect cooling circuit with thermostatic valve: even temperature along the pump, also with cooling water of lower quality
Simple design; oil filter, bearings and seals can be serviced on site

Versions of the Edwards IDX1300

Edwards supplies the IDX1300 as a pump without motor (bareshaft) for a 30 kW IEC motor with DIN flanges or for a 40 hp NEMA motor with ANSI flanges, and also with a 30 kW motor of efficiency class IE5, which is operated only with a frequency converter. All three are versions for non-hazardous areas.

Accessories

According to Edwards there are outlet silencers (mild steel or stainless steel), flame arresters, acoustic enclosures, gas ballast kits and inlet and outlet purge kits.
