Technology and features
Operating principle
Dry screw vacuum pumps convey the gas from the inlet to the outlet with two screw rotors that intermesh without contact. The pump chamber is oil-free; the pumps reach rough and medium vacuum in a single stage, are insensitive to water vapour and particles and are suitable for continuous operation.

Features of the series
- Balanced rotors without coating; according to Edwards no loss of performance over the operating time
- Simple design; oil filter, bearings and seals can be serviced on site
- Filtered, pumped oil circuit for bearings and gears
- Indirect cooling circuit with thermostatic valve: uniform temperature along the pump, even with cooling water of lower quality
- No compression plate: better tolerance of dust and liquid; can be flushed with water and solvent
